چکیده
Agricultural cooperatives have been found to effectively alleviate poverty in developing countries because of their specific socioeconomic functions that allow poor households overcome marketing and production constraints. However, cooperative evaluations are inevitably influenced by other alleviation measures rarely consider the characteristics ethnic groups. Using cross-sectional surveys Southwest China employing propensity score matching (PSM) endogenous switching regression (ESR) models, this paper analyzed participation New-type Cooperatives (NACs) areas assessed income impacts NAC membership eliminating unobserved biases group heterogeneity. This study detected heterogeneous policy perceptions behavioral differences between member nonmember groups, PSM ESR model results indicated that, overall, NACs had a positive effect on household income. The was be more plausible as it able reveal significant gaps under counterfactual inference framework. Local policymakers need focus perception earning capability groups increase balanced implementation.

Because of the difficulty in multi-dimensional matching and missing variables, investigation of long-run stock performance after major corporate events has been plagued by the “bad model problem”. This study contributes to the literature by implementing the propensity score estimator which is able to match firms in multiple dimensions simultaneously, and illustrate this methodology in the conte...

The purpose of this paper is to determine how much is the “bonus” or “prize” to the sales per worker of Internet-using firms compared to not Internet-using firms. The author employs matching techniques based on an Argentinean database. The author first presents a binary logit model, in which the dependent variable is a dichotomous variable equal to 1 if the firm adopted Internet and 0 otherwise...
